Obituary of Thomas Logan Phillips
Dr. Thomas Logan Phillips Sr., 90, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017.Tom was born on January 17, 1927 to Dr. Leo and Ulva Phillips in Fort Worth. He graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1943, Notre Dame University in 1948 and Baylor Dental School in 1951. He was a long-time member and past president of both the Fort Worth District Dental Society and the Fort Worth Orchid Society. He was a member of the Fort Worth Botanical Society and a volunteer for many years. Tom also belonged to the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, Serra Club and Holy Family Men’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time at Lake Granbury.He was married to his loving wife, Margie, for 67 years. They loved to travel and socialize with their many friends and family.He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leo, his daughter, Mary Ellen, and grandson, Ryan McMillan.His wife, Margie; his daughters, Nancy and her husband, David Rogge, Gina and her husband, John Weese, Julie and her husband, Randy Swaim, and Emily Phillips; his sons, Thomas and his wife, Susie Phillips, and John Phillips; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brothers, William and Robert Phillips; and numerous relatives.
