Obituary of Patricia Lynn Leuck

Patricia Lynn Leuck died peacefully early Tuesday morning, December 26, 2017.Patricia Lynn Seddig was born on February 28, 1947 in Davenport, Iowa to Robert Edward and Evelyn Lucille Behrens Seddig. She earned a B.A. in Education from the University of Iowa, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She then earned an M.A. in Education from St. Mary’s University In Winona, MN, with a concentration in creative writing for elementary students. Patricia taught in Catholic elementary schools most of her life and her love of learning was passed on to hundreds of children whom she dearly loved.Patricia married John Robert Leuck, a Marine Lieutenant, on May 8, 1971. They lived in Virginia, North Carolina and California until John left active duty in 1974. Following his active service, they spent their life in Milwaukee, WI, Cleveland, OH, St. Paul, MN, Waterloo Belgium, and back to St. Paul until they both retired in 2009. Wanting to be near their grandchildren, they moved to Charlotte, NC and just three years ago to Fort Worth, TX.Patricia was active in charitable works especially the Loaves and Fishes Food Bank in Charlotte and along with John, was a eucharistic minister at their church. She also served the elderly at Four Seasons Home in Woodbury, MN by helping them pray the rosary and delivering Communion to the residents there. She was kind and generous all her life, making countless friends wherever they lived.Patricia and John had a love for travel, making trips to Italy, Austria, Greece, Turkey, Ireland, England, Mexico, Canada, Spain, the Netherlands, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Germany and Switzerland. She and John were avid fans of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and attended several games a year.Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, John Robert Leuck, Sr.; sons, John Robert Leuck, Jr. and his wife, Jo Anna, and Matthew Adam Leuck and his partner, Benjamin Jameson; grandchildren, Dylan and Tatum Leuck; and brothers, Robert Seddig and his wife, Lyta, and Richard Seddig and his wife, Cyndi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
