Obituary of Dolores Mary Slusarski Knebl
Dolores “Dolly” Knebl, nee Slusarski, died on December 14, 2020 with underlying moderate severe stage Alzheimer’s Disease and acute COVID pneumonia. She was born on January 30, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Stanley and Anna Slusarski. She had one sister, Anne, who she loved dearly.Dolly attended Roxborough high school and one year at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She married William “Bill” Knebl on June 11, 1955 and had one daughter, Janice A. Knebl, DO, MBA. Dolly worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for the accounting firm, Hass and Company in downtown Philadelphia located in the PSFS Building, for over 35 years. In her retirement, she and her husband Bill traveled extensively on their Honda Gold Wing motorcycle with the Pennsylvania Chapter Y of the Honda Gold Wing Club and were chosen as Couple of the Year for the state of Pennsylvania.Dolly was truly the very proud mother of her daughter, Dr. Janice Knebl, who is a geriatrician and Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, and she loved her son in law who always made her laugh, Thomas J. Fairchild, PhD.
