Obituary of Mary Louise Boteler
Mary Louise Boteler passed away peacefully June 16, 2018 in Fort Worth. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by her loving family and friends.Louise was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota born on May 16, 1918 and moved to Fort Worth at a young age following the death of her father. She graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy. She was married to Carroll (JC) Boteler for 51 years until his death in 1990.Louise was a very active and founding member of St. Alice/Holy Family Catholic Church, a devoted member of the Auxiliary to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of the Most Holy Trinity and a Lady of the Grand Cross of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. She enjoyed being a docent at the Kimbell Art Museum, as well as gardening and creating beautiful clothes. She assisted in her husband’s company, Empire Mfg. for many years. Louise and Carroll were world travelers and liked to host friends and family at their lake house in Granbury. She was a devoted wife, mother and deeply loved by all who knew her. Her religious faith was most important to her and showed in the many selfless ways she helped others.The family extends their gratitude to the wonderful nurses and caregivers at Pecan Manor Nursing Facility and Hospice Plus.She is survived by her son, Dr. John Michael Boteler and wife, Mary, of New London, New Hampshire, daughters, Dr. Shirley Mock and husband, Col. (retired) Bill Mock, Rosemary Mills, Fleta Fenoglio and Lisa Koester; grandchildren, Col. James Mock, John Eric Mock, Alyssa Fenoglio, Callie Green, Mallory Dougherty, Dylan Koester and Madeline Slack; and seven great grand-children.
