Obituary of Shirley Ann Sowers

Shirley Ann Sowers (born James Ellsworth Sowers) passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 after a long illness. Shirley was born in California on July 22, 1944, the only child of Elmer and Jane Marie Sowers. After graduating from high school in San Diego, Shirley moved to Texas and graduated form Texas A&M in 1968 with a degree in architectural engineering. After serving in the army, including a tour in Viet Nam, Shirley spent her career working with several commercial contractors. Shirley enjoyed deep-sea fishing and bowling and was a patron at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. She was an active member of First Congregational UCC. Shirley is survived by her cat, Sunny, and a host of friends.
