Obituary of Patricia Jane Parr Burk

Patricia Jane Parr Burk, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018.Born February 8, 1937 in Haltom City, Patricia was the daughter of Lucia Anna Mais and Arthur Nicholas Parr Sr. She was a graduate of Birdville High School where she was chosen Homecoming Queen and Miss Birdville. In 1956, she married her high school sweetheart who was chosen Mr. Birdville, John David Burk Jr.Patricia was a preschool teacher at First UMC in Hurst and volunteered at the Food Pantry at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. She loved to walk – and she was fast. First and foremost, she was a mother to her children and made the best banana bread and sugar cookies.Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 38 years, John David Burk Jr.Survivors: Her children, Cynthia Flores and husband, Sammy, Jim Burk and wife, Jean, Angela Adams and husband, Darwal, Bobby Burk and wife, Kelly, Paul Burk and wife, Diane, Scott Burk and wife, Heather, Donny Burk and wife, Marie; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
