Obituary of Anna Marie Broadway Hollingsworth

Anna Marie Broadway Hollingsworth was welcomed home to the Lord on May 24, 2017, after a period of increased illness.Anna Marie Broadway was born in Henrietta, TX on January 11, 1936, to Alvis and Naomi Broadway. She grew up in a large family (with eight siblings) in Detroit, Red River County, Texas where she graduated from high school. She and her twin sister, Mary, were basketball players there, and later played at Paris Junior College.Anna married her high school sweetheart, Burl Hollingsworth, in 1954. They moved to Fort Worth, where they lived until her passing. She had two sons – Britt and Craig. She was involved in the family business as well as the family Christmas tree farm, making valuable friendships everywhere. Anna exhibited extreme bravery and toughness in dealing with rheumatoid arthritis and related illnesses for sixty years. .She was preceded in death by her grandson, Benjamin.Survivors: Her husband of 63 years, Burl; two sons, Britt and Craig (and wife, Tammi); grandson, Owen; granddaughter, Rachel; twin grandsons, Brighton and Golden; siblings, Alvis Broadway Jr., Jeanne Brown, Jakey Broadway, twin sister Mary Louise Simmons, Bobby Broadway and Kenneth Broadway; and many friends.
