Obituary of Joy Louise Magers Carter

Joy Louise (Magers) Carter, born December 26, 1930 to Louise and Clif Magers in Fort Worth, passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in San Antonio.She is preceded in death by her husband, of 61 years,, George T. Carter. She is survived by her only daughter, Kim Carter Pataky and husband, Rick Pataky; her three grandchildren, Hailey Georgia DeLaRosa of Houston, TX, Autumn Holly Gallogly of Castle Rock, CO, and Carter Burns Harris of England (UK); five young great grandchildren; and her brother, Randy Magers of Comanche, TX.Joy graduated from Carter Riverside High School in Fort Worth and attended UT @ Austin where she met her husband. Upon marriage, they began a worldwide adventure of numerous relocations and travel as George worked his way up the corporate ladder in the petroleum industry. Joy was a dynamic individual who took pride in maintaining lovely homes. She was fiercely loyal to her loved ones. She leaves a legacy of “tiny but mighty” and her family will have many “Joy infused” tales to tell.
