Obituary of John Franklin Keller
John Franklin Keller Jr., 97, died Friday, July 20, 2018.Born May 1, 1921 in Fort Worth, the son of Kate (Blanton) and John F. Keller Sr., John graduated from Paschal High School, Texas A&M University with a BS in Aeronautical Engineering and SMU with MS in Engineering. During WW II, he served as a Captain in the Corps of Engineers in the European Theater. As a Registered Professional Engineer, he worked for General Dynamics for 40 years.John was married 66 wonderful years to Ernestine Christy Keller. He was a member of University Christian Church where he served as a Deacon and Elder, and former Chairman of the Board of Elders. An avid tennis and golf player, John was a very kind and generous man with many friends. He was strong and had a good sense of humor and he loved his grandchildren.John was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Christy Keller; his son, John Christy Keller; and sisters, Dorothy Conway Boles and Mary Kate Henners.Survivors: Daughter, Karyn Gill; grandchildren, Taylor and Ashley Gill of Fort Worth; nieces, Catherine Conway Rogers of Irving, Martha Conway Tope of Midland, Carol Christy Shaw of Fort Worth, and Susan Christy Donahew of Burleson, and a host of other relatives.
