Obituary of Stephen Kirk Morgan

Stephen Kirk Morgan, 61, passed away January 3, 2022.Kirk was born on March 20, 1960, in Hartford, Connecticut, to Stephen Howard Morgan and Janice Barnard Morgan during the short time that the Morgans spent up north while Kirk’s father attended Aetna Insurance School. The Morgan family of three soon moved back to their native Fort Worth, Texas, and later to Abilene, Texas.Kirk graduated from Cooper High School in Abilene in 1979 and he went on to attend Texas State Technical College in Waco. There, Kirk began a long career in transportation services, which started when he was hired by the City of Waco as a bus driver. He later moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and worked for American Airlines, driving its employee shuttle for many years. Later, Kirk worked until his retirement for Park and Fly at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.He loved his family and never met a stranger. He talked up a storm with everyone he met and made many of them laugh until their sides split. At home, Kirk’s favorite hobby was tending to his garden.Kirk is preceded in death by his father, Stephen Howard Morgan. He is survived by his son, Austin Kyle Morgan, mother Janice Barnard Morgan, sister Beverly Morgan Smirnis, brother-in-law Steven William Smirnis, nephews William Kirk Smirnis and Nicholas Lance Smirnis and great-nephew Peter William Smirnis.
