Obituary of Marilyn Joan Rutschman Roach
Marilyn Rutschman Roach, 84, died Sunday, July 4, 2021Marilyn was born on July 19, 1936, to Henry and Frances Rutschman. Marilyn received her Bachelor of Science from the University of North Texas where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. At UNT, she met and later married Jack G. Roach and they were blessed with three daughters.Marilyn was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth for 64 years. While raising their three daughters Marilyn supported Jack and his business. She was also actively involved in PTA, Camp Fire Girls and all of the girls’ activities. She was a gracious hostess in both her Fort Worth home and their home on Possum Kingdom Lake.Of most importance to Marilyn was the closeness of her family. In her later years her main passion became her four grandchildren. Planning family vacations, holidays and celebrations brought her joy.She appreciated her wonderful friends, many of whom traveled with Marilyn and Jack around the world covering all seven continents.Throughout her life, Marilyn loved the Lord, her family and many good friends. The legacy she leaves her grandchildren is to love and serve the Lord and others.Her memberships include Colonial Country Club, Jewel Charity Ball, The Women’s Club, P.E.O., Canwick, Roundelay, Dinner Dance Club and The Lecture Foundation.Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her son in law, Mark Jennings, her parents and her brother Charles Rutschman.She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Voight and her husband, Lamar, Tricia Jennings and Jacque Morse. Her grandchildren, Julia Jennings, Jack Jennings and his wife, Brittany, Brad Morse, Jr., and Marilyn Morse.
