Obituary of Kay Mehaffy Sherman

Kay Mehaffy Sherman passed away early Thursday morning, August 10, 2017.Patricia Kay Mehaffy was born on June 16, 1951 to Carl Poe Mehaffy, Jr, and Jacqueline Howell Mehaffy. She earned a B.S. in Education from Texas Wesleyan University and taught math at Southwest H.S. and North Crowley H.S. over the next 30 years.Kay was very active at Arborlawn United Methodist where she was president of United Methodist Women, a member of Faith Bible Class, and longtime kitchen crew with Camp Epic. She was earlier a founding member of Western Hills United Methodist Church.Kay loved handwork, especially knitting, and she always had and loved dogs. She is remembered for her beautiful smile and giving heart by her family and friends.She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bob, two sons, Casey Sherman and Jeremy Sherman and beloved grandson, Grayson; mother, Jackie Mehaffy; sister, Judy Richmond and her husband, BJ, and their families.
