Obituary of Ann Vincent Kucirek

Sister Ann Vincent Kucirek, a Sister of St. Mary of Namur, died August 13, 2018 at the age of 98.A native of Omaha, NE, Frances Kucirek met the Sisters of St. Mary through her brother who was stationed in Waco and often volunteered at the school and visited the Sisters at Sacred Heart Academy. Hearing the Sisters discuss the need for a teacher, he recommended his sister who was qualified. Frances accepted the invitation, taught a year, and then felt called to join the Sisters of St. Mary.Sister Ann Vincent was a valuable member of the community for 71 years, serving as teacher, principal, community leader, spiritual director and facilitator, friend and entertainer as the need arose.Survivors: Her extended family in Omaha, many friends and former pupils and by the Sisters of her religious community.
