Obituary of Maria Rivera Garza

María Rivera Garza, 77, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 21,2017 at Medical City Hospital in Fort Worth.Maria was born on March 27,1940 in Sabinas Hildago, N.L., Mexico to Juan Rivera and Elida Garza. Maria was raised along with her sisters, Guadalupe and Blanca, in San Antonio and graduated from high school in 1957. Maria and Carlos Farias were married in 1960 and raised four children at military bases in North and South Carolina during the time Carlos served in the USMC. Her family was the most important thing to her and she loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.Maria was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son , Carlos Eduardo Farias.Maria is survived by her daughters, Rebeca Farias Cole and husband Craig of Groves, Texas, Laura Chedalawada of Seattle WA and her son, Robert Farias and wife, Kimberly of Morehead City, NC. Maria is also survived by her grandchildren, Allyson Duncan and husband Kenneth of North Richland Hills, Stephanie Snow and husband, Robert of Waxahachie. Also Anjay Chedalawada, Deven Chedalawada, Celia Brisbois,Georgia Brisbois of Seattle,WA and Edward Farias of Morehead City, NC. Her great grandchildren are Truman Floyd, Willa Snow, Kellyn Duncan, Harrison Duncan, Nora Snow, Everett Duncan and Nolan Snow.
