Obituary of Joseph Thomas LeGault
Joseph Thomas LeGault passed on Saturday July 29, 2017.He was born June 27, 1933 in Chicago.He served in the U. S. Army as a draftsman and topographer at 8th Army headquarters in Seoul. Under General Maxwell D. Taylor, he worked to provide maps of the area of operations, showing friendly and enemy unit strengths and placements from 1953-1955 during the Korean War.After leaving the service he received his BS in Mathematics from the Illinois Institute of Technology and his MBA from DePaul University.He worked for a number of great companies in Chicago and Houston, before finally settling in Fort Worth. He retired in 2003 from “the best job he ever had” at Americredit in Fort Worth.Joseph loved the French language and music in retirement. He attended a weekly French club where he honed his skills and wrote essays. The only pursuit that he enjoyed more than French was music, especially the piano. He and his wife Sandra supported the Fort Worth Symphony and would regularly attend until his health made it to difficult. He was an active member of the Music Ministry at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Fort Worth.Special thanks are due to his wonderful caregivers, Amelia, Gloria, and Susanna.Joseph is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra; his sister, Mary; his daughters, Danielle and Lisa and their husbands, Michael and David; and his beloved grandson, Marc.
