Obituary of Geraldine Coonrod

Geraldine “Geri” Coonrod passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the age of 87 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.Geraldine Coonrod was born on September 9, 1930 in Fort Worth, Texas to Gerald Wilford and Mary Lucile Irvine Coonrod. She attended St. Mary Catholic School, graduated from Paschal H.S., and attended Texas Woman’s University. Geri had a lifelong career in banking and accounting. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed gardening, home improvement projects, playing bridge and collecting bells, and loved all her dogs. Geri was a founding member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, where she attended and volunteered for financial duties. She was a kind and fun-loving person who enjoyed joining in family gatherings and traveling.Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Paul Rhea, sisters Mary Lucile Kellner and Nancy Lee Coonrod, brothers-in-law Gene Kellner and Alvin Fenoglio, and nephew, Gregory Fenoglio .Geraldine is survived by her sister, Catherine Coonrod Fenoglio and 9 nieces and nephews: Beverly (Van) Shipley, Angela (Bill) Rice, Thomas Fenoglio, Nancy (Doug) Himes, Gene (Peggy) Kellner, Sallie (Jim) Parks, Larry Kellner, Jim (Laurie) Kellner, Jeanette Anders and many other family members and friends.
