Obituary of Milton Bley
Milton Bley passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2022. Milton was born to Louis and Anna Bley on March 1, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up a big fan of the Cleveland Browns, and his older brother, Norman. He attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, earning a Bachelors and Master’s degree, while serving in the ROTC. He was the Captain of the Xavier football team and received the Legion of Honor for his athletic achievement playing football. Milton went on to serve his country as a First Lieutenant in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star. He moved to Fort Worth in 1980. He met the love of his life, Laura, in Beverly Hills and convinced her to join him in Fort Worth. Milton and Laura owned Bley Investment Group, a financial service firm in Fort Worth. He enjoyed working side by side with Laura for over 31 years, and turning clients into life long friends. Milton loved spending time with his family, especially his beloved wife, Laura, his daughters, and his grandchildren. He enjoyed connecting with people, hearing stories and telling stories of his own. He loved to celebrate often, and had an infectious laugh that brought everyone together. Milton loved to play golf, especially when he played well. He referred to his life as “heaven on earth,” and his gratitude was contagious. He will be missed by all who knew him. Milton is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Laura Bley; his daughters, Lori Hayes (Frank), Kristin Wilson (Holden), Jennifer Sweeny (Andrew); his nephews, Louis and Daniel Bley; and his five grandchildren, Holden Wilson IV, Welles Wilson, Harper Hayes, Haley Sweeny, and Andrew Sweeny Jr.
