Dear Melinda and Family,
I just read Steve's obituary in Shipmate, and am so sorry for your loss. I was a year behind Steve at Navy, but knew him fairly well as we were both on the Shields team. I always enjoyed seeing him and I well recall that he had sailed on SF Bay prior to Annapolis.
I lost track of him after he graduated, but see that we had very similar careers. I also flew in the Navy and then for AA. Even did simulator instructing after retirement.
My thoughts are with you. Steve was a remarkable guy.
