Obituary of JoAnn Yannazzo

JoAnn S. Yannazzo, 64, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 30, 2019. She was surrounded by her family and friends at the time of her passing.Born July 20, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph James and Frances Michelle (Ravo) Sciacchitano. JoAnn graduated high school from Mother Seton Regional High School and then attended college at Rutgers University in New Jersey, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology. As a teacher with the Fort Worth ISD, JoAnn has been responsible for shaping the young lives of her students at O.D. Wyatt High School, North Side High School, and most recently at Rosemont 6th. Science was JoAnn’s passion, and she happily passed that love on to her students throughout the years.JoAnn was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Sciacchitano.She is survived by her family which includes her daughter, Danielle Yannazzo and husband, Sean Jones, and daughter, Christyn Sterling and husband, Kenneth Sterling; grandchildren, Ryan, Joseph, Audrey and Nicholas Sterling; father, Joseph Sciacchitano; sisters, Francine Sciacchitano and Christine Giamella; and many other family members.
