Obituary of Robert Gerard Seeton

Robert Gerard Seeton lost his brief battle with COVID and left this world to be with the Lord on January 29, 2021. He was born on August 7, 1954 in Fort Worth Texas to A. J. and Henrietta Seeton. He was the middle of three children.Robert loved spending time with his family, his friends at dayhab, and his caretakers at his group home. He was always happy to tell anyone new he met or anyone he had not seen in a while his life story. He was the master of remembering dates of things that happened within the context of his life, particularly family members birthdates. But when asked about well-known historical events he would answer matter-of-factly, “I don’t know, I wasn’t there.”Robert was also our “keeper” of weather information and time. If you wanted to know current information on either of those topics, Robert was your man.Though Robert was a homebody he did enjoy travel, including trips to Disney World and San Antonio and his yearly week at summer camp. In town, his favorite outings included going to the movies and trips to Walmart. At home, Robert was an avid television viewer. He was a huge Star Trek fan and loved watching Elvis and John Wayne movies. He also liked listening to rock music and oldies rock and roll.Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Robert is survived by his sister, Mary Santo and her husband, Steven; his sister, Karla Hyde and her husband, Douglas; his nephew, Albert Strittmatter and his son, Brandon; his niece, Brandi Strittmatter and her son, Kyler; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
