Bill and his family lived across the street from us in Texarkana. He was a couple of years ahead of me in high school. One thing I will remember him for is the kindness he showed me when I was in a London hospital. I ran into Bill in front of Buckingham Palace while traveling with a friend in London. A day or two later, I ended up in a London hospital. My parents obtained a visa to come to help me. Bill picked them up at the airport and brought them to the hospital, and at some point, showed them around London. I will be forever grateful to him for his help in a bad situation. Wishing his family peace and comfort in this difficult time. I know he will be missed!

The loss of a childhood friend, especially one whose friendship in those days meant so much to me, is always hard. Bill was lively, intelligent, inquisitive, and always positive. The world and his many, many friends are poorer by his passing.
I went to high school with Bill. He was always kind and friendly to everyone. I remember his wild socks that were definitely more colorful than the regular white socks most guys wore.
