What a special joy it was performing with Brian Stratton as a member of the Moses Hogan Chorale. Brian was hugh, on many levels and perhaps he most embodied the essence, spirit, and spontaneous joy we all experienced as Chorale members. And what a gift, as a vocalist and Director of the Moses Hogan "Legacy" Chorale & Singers. "I Want Jesus to Walk with Me", "Mr. Banjo" (from the PBS special, "The American Promise"), "My God is So High", represent just a few of the many Brian Stratton performances which consistently received standing ovations from New Orleans to Sydney, Australia. To the family, Brian was love, and may his spirt and living legacy remain an enduring source of strength, comfort and joy in this season of transition and celebration.

Brian and I shared a love of reed organs and harmoniums. Both the music and the collecting. He was a true gentleman with passion for music and praising God.
