Wow, this one hit me hard! Rest well my friend! Crystal and I met in Tuscaloosa while working together in the optometry industry, we had a BLAST working together. We both were so passionate about our job. We remained friends after we both left the practice and ventured out into other branches of the field. However, since we both remained in town, we were still able to see one another from time to time either to hang out and catch up and also because no matter what office I was in, I always brought her in as our Maui Jim rep. Even once she left the state, anytime she’d come back to visit she’d be sure to call and stop by my home if only long enough for us to reminisce about our times working together and get a few laughs out. We talked on the phone all the time and this is how I found out of her passing. She wasn’t returning any of my calls and this transpired for a few months. I told my husband…something is wrong because even if she doesn’t call back she’ll text something silly, or let me know why she couldn’t answer or say “tag you’re it” if I didn’t answer once she did call back. Too many months passed without hearing from her and something said google her name (as i’m not on social media) and it brought me here. I sobbed and instantly called my husband at work and it has taken months for me to come back and leave a memory. My firecracker friend had so much more life to live. Family and Carson please know that she loved you all too her core. I feel like I know you just from all the things she’s told me.
With love from Tuscaloosa,
