Obituary of Frank Hubans Jr.
Frank Hubans Jr., 73, passed away Sunday, June 16th, 2024 in his home.
Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2024 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home, 4350 River Oaks Blvd.
Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park.
Born June 20th, 1950 in New Eagle, PA, he was the only child of the late Frank Hubans Sr. and Florence Witlinsky Hubans. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a master’s degree in electrical engineering he obtained a 2nd master’s degree from The University of Texas at Arlington in statistical mathematics. Until his retirement he worked at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics for 43 years as a Sr. Staff Engineer.
Frank was a member of Mensa 76, Triple Nine Society, IEEE, and a master mason 32nd degree. Frank was brilliant, one of the brightest in his field professionally. He loved learning and loved knowledge. He also had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and be silly. Frank was a Christian and loved the Lord. He was a loving father always giving advice and encouragement. He was a master mason at Lodge #1184, A.F. & A.M. enjoying the comradery and brotherhood.
He was preceded in death by his wife Katharine Stone "Kitsie" Waltman Hubans.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Hubans, and step children Bob Lilly, Jr., Michelle Miller, Christienne Martin, grandchildren, cousins, and lifelong best friend John Kovac.
