Obituary of Lance Frederick Cressel
Lance Frederick Cressel, 87, went to be with his Savior on August 19, 2024, in Carlsbad, NM.
Born on September 21, 1936 in Duluth, Minnesota, he was the son of George and Pearl Cressel. He graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1954.
In 1955, he married the love of his life Sandra in Anchorage, Alaska. Lance served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1974.
After retiring from the USAF, he moved his family to Fort Worth, Texas and built a successful State Farm Agency and retired in 1999.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. After retirement, he liked traveling to his hometown of Park Rapids, Minnesota, playing golf and cards with his buddies and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra of 54 years, daughter Margaret Burke, parents George & Pearl Cressel, sister Kathleen Cressel, brother George Cressel, and grandson Shane Brewer.
Survivors include: daughter, Lorie Brewer (Terry), daughter, Cynthia Broadwell (Caven), son, Terry Cressel, daughter, Christina Joy (Richard); grandchildren, Janna Gonzalez, Nicole Hampton, Amy Williams (Cumi), Bryant Tucker (Janna), Steven Brewer (Sheena), Kyle Broadwell (McKenna), Richard Joy (Patti), and Weldon Cressel; and many great grandchildren.
Visitation: 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Interment: 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2024 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
