Obituary of Beryl Winter Hutchings Davis

Beryl Winter Hutchings Davis, 85, passed away December 15, 2024. 

Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 in Greenwood Memorial Park. 

Born Beryl Winter Hutchings on October 20^th, 1939 to Alfred Wade and Mildred Hutchings in Kerrville, Tx. She attended Kerrville Tivy High School prior to attending Stephens College in Columbia, MO and the University of Texas, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. While in college Beryl pursued her passion, vocal performance, majoring in musical education. She married Jerry Donald Davis on January 25^th, 1964 in Kerrville, Tx. and they made their home in Austin while Jerry finished law school at the University of Texas. The couple then moved to Houston where Beryl gave birth to Elizabeth Ann Davis on November 24^th, 1964. Beryl worked as a Christian Dior makeup artist at Nieman Marcus in the Galleria Mall in Houston and volunteered as a docent at the Houston Zoo. Upon Jerry’s retirement from Kellogg Brown and Root in 2003, Beryl and Jerry moved to Fort Worth to be closer to family and their granddaughters. In her later life Beryl worked at Kay’s Hallmark and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Beryl is survived by her granddaughters, Elizabeth Claire Miller and Sophia Beryl Miller, son in law, Scott Miller, nephew, Wade Park and his wife Doris, niece, Lucille Park and her wife Robin, Brian Park and his wife, Margarita, sister in law Barbara Davis Terrell and her children Alisa Starbird, James Terrell, Randall Terrell and his wife Christine, Julie Hinds and her husband Jack.

Beryl is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Davis and her daughter Elizabeth Miller. The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the staff at the Colonial Gardens Memory Care Community and AlevCare Hospice for their care.
