Virginia's Mass today was lovely. She was my colleague, mentor and friend. She was the most determined woman I have ever met. Nothing was going to get in her way of being the lady she wanted to be. I learned so much from her. I used to tell her I wanted to be her when I grew up. I was lucky to work with Virginia for 10 years at Nolan Catholic High School.

Virginia was a wonderful mentor. I met her when my son was a freshman at Nolan. She encouraged me to be an active participant at the Mardi Gras Silent Auction. She taught me how to be a good mother. Through the years I have not forgotten her words & her kindness. May she Rest In Peace & may her family remember her love & find peace in knowing she was a gift from God. Prayers to all her family, especially Monica.

Aunt Virginia was my Godmother. I have a picture but also clearly in my mind the memory of her putting my First Communion veil on my head. She was so devoted to her faith in God and to her family. She is at peace now in the presence of God and for that we are happy. She loved her sports and at times would forgo playing cards to watch her favorite teams. She suffered much especially this past year so we are grateful her suffering is over but she will be missed. Love to Ginda, Pete, and Monica. My prayers for God’s peace to cover each of you.
